KYOCERA selects IoT-enabled service management solution from IFS
The IFS solution will be deployed in the Cloud to support KYOCERA Document Solutions in 17 European countries
IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe, a leading manufacturer of document imaging solutions and document management systems, will implement IFS Service Management™ to optimize its service processes and build a unified system throughout Europe.
KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe, with its leading range of printers, multifunctional systems, consumables, software solutions as well as managed document services, facilitates efficient and cost-effective document processes.
Following a comprehensive evaluation of several software vendors, KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe selected IFS Service Management to optimize its service processes and build a unified IT solution throughout Europe. With the IFS solution, the company will shorten service response times, improve contract and warranty management as well as enable efficient business partner collaboration.
The solution will be deployed in the IFS Managed Cloud on Microsoft Azure, a full-service, managed single-tenant cloud offering. During an initial project, a European standard will be developed and go live as a pilot at KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe. In a second phase, this standard will be rolled out at KYOCERA subsidiaries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, among which are Triumph Adler, a long-established company in the KYOCERA group.
“We have performed a meticulous examination of all well-known products on the market,” KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe president Takahiro Sato said. “IFS offered us the most complete, connected and internationally scalable software solutions for all relevant service areas. One of the deciding factors for us was IFS’s innovative and future-oriented software architecture.”
Peter Höhne, Vice President Sales & Marketing for IFS in Europe Central, said, “The agreement with KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe is a major milestone for IFS. This strategically important customer win reconfirms our leading position in service management software and that our long-term investments in disruptive technology such as IoT and cloud continue to resonate well among global enterprises.”
