SUMMER HOLIDAY FUN FOR KIDS AT AWARD-WINNING RESTAURANT

AN award-winning North West restaurant is offering children the chance to go behind the scenes and spend the day rustling up a whole host of healthy treats this summer!

Twelve Restaurant & Lounge Bar in Thornton Cleveleys near Blackpool will open the doors of its state-of-the-art kitchen on Wednesday 28th July for a Kids’ Cookery Day. Chef Proprietor Paul Moss will pass on his knowledge of running a top flight restaurant and event management company to young foodies! Paul, alongside Head Chef Simon Ball will be showing the young cooks the basics of preparing and cooking dishes with chicken, rice, pasta and fresh vegetables. Delicious smoothies will also form part of the day’s menu as well as scrumptious biscuits and cakes! Paul, who has recently been working with local schools to promote healthy eating, said: “Everyone that attends our kids’ cookery demonstration will go away with lots of ideas to try out over the summer holidays. “For young people really interested in food and what goes into running a restaurant it will be a great experience – you never know, we might find the future Head Chef of Twelve in our midst!” Twelve’s kitchen won the 2008 Ceda Grand Prix Award for best design. The restaurant is the only one in Lancashire to have the coveted Bib Gourmand status as well as two AA Rosettes. The Kids’ Cookery day is open for young people aged 12 and over and will start at 9.30am and finish at 3pm. Tickets cost £20 per person.
