K-Fastigheter in collaboration with ‘Her House’ foundation for safer housing

K-Fast Holding AB has entered into a partnership with the Her House foundation with the aim of making it easier for women to find safe housing when leaving women’s shelters.

When women who have spent time recovering in women’s shelters around Sweden are about to return to independent living, a shortage of rental properties can sometimes be a problem. Many women remain in the shelter for longer than necessary, and may take up a space that could be used by women who need it more. The Her House foundation wants to highlight and find solutions to this problem.

Against this background, the foundation approached leading property developers and K-Fastigheter wanted to contribute by prioritizing women coming from shelters to help them find a new home more easily.

“We saw that we were able to help, so it was the natural thing to do”, commented Jacob Karlsson, CEO of K-Fast Holding AB.

“The current housing situation is a major problem for women returning to a normal life, and we’re delighted that K-Fastigheter leads the way by prioritizing these women”, commented Mathilda Lundin from the Her House foundation.
