K2A’s Johan Knaust named Person of the Year in Sustainable Construction

Johan Knaust, CEO of K2A Knaust & Andersson Fastigheter, was named Person of the Year in Sustainable Construction at the Sweden Green Building Awards on 27 October 2022.

“This is a very fine award to receive and confirmation of the work we do at K2A when it comes to constructing housing with a lower climate footprint. Even if I am the person receiving the award, this is the result of a team effort, where all employees are striving to make us the green real estate company,” says Johan Knaust, CEO of K2A.

The jury explained its decision by stating that Johan Knaust "is not afraid to to tackle the big issues connected to emissions and housing construction" and that he "has shown that it is possible to build a real estate company that is long-term and sustainable – but at the same time fast-growing and profitable".

The award, which was established by the Sweden Green Building Council, is the second major sustainability prize awarded to Johan Knaust within a short period of time. On 13 October, he was named winner of this year’s Sustainable Leadership Award. The Sustainable Leadership Award is presented by the Swedish Association for Sustainable Business, which chooses a winner every year from Swedish business leaders, regardless of industry.
