Our research, development and innovation (RDI) unit in Lempäälä is looking for PROJECT ENGINEER for an innovative research project in the industrial adhesives sector solving a global sustainability challenge.

In this role, you will be responsible for organising, analysing and reporting the work in the RDI project both internally and externally. Everyday work includes scheduling and running laboratory experiments together with research assistants and R&D managers. Searching for information on different techniques, raw materials and manufacturing methods as well as discussing with university research groups and other international cooperation partners is also part of your work. The position is temporary, for the duration of the research project (two years).

 

Background that makes the best fit for this job:

  • Master’s degree/equivalent studies and/or experience in a relevant field. This research subject is also suitable for master’s thesis work if other studies for the degree are completed. Polymer chemistry studies are considered as an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently towards set targets, using your existing knowledge of chemistry in solving problems.
  • Readiness to work in a laboratory.
  • Fluent communication skills.
  • Curious mindset with eagerness to learn.
