We are looking for a    

PURCHASING MANAGER 

 

The position  

Kiilto manufactures chemical solutions for construction, industry and fireproofing in our factories in Finland (Lempäälä and Forssa), Sweden and Russia. When procuring materials for the products, our purchasing team works in an interesting, international environment consisting of suppliers and partners from different countries, and of course our fellow Kiiltonians from several countries. 

The Purchasing Manager has an independent area of responsibility and has a possibility to contribute to achieving Kiilto’s strategic goals, among them Our Promise to the Environment. As Purchasing Manager, you will work in the Supply Chain function as a part of the purchasing team in Finland, cooperating closely with Kiiltonians internationally. You will report to the Head of Purchasing and Logistics.    

You will be responsible for procurement in your area of responsibility both for our sites in Finland and in other countries. The emphasis is on sourcing and supplier cooperation, but the role also includes operational purchasing tasks. As Purchasing Manager, you will actively network both inside the company and with external suppliers and partners.   

You will be based in Lempäälä, but in line with our flexible hybrid working model a certain amount of remote working is also possible. The work involves travelling a few times a year, both in Finland and abroad.        

 

Your main responsibilities   

  • You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing activities in a separately agreed area in construction and industrial adhesives and fireproofing business areas, working independently as a part of the purchasing team  

  • You will be responsible for supplier collaboration, negotiations and contracting in your area 
  • You will work in close cooperation with several different functions within Kiilto and external partners.  
  • You will take part in various development projects    
  • Some operational purchasing tasks related to supply chain management are involved 
 

Qualifications, skills and experience        

  • A degree in a relevant field, such as a Master’s degree in economics and business administration or in engineering   

  • Experience in negotiation   
  • Experience in procurement and supply chain management    
  • Excellent English and good Finnish. Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage.   
  • Experience in international business environments     

Experience in market analysis, analytical methods or supply chain information systems and their development would also be beneficial. A development-oriented and active attitude is required for this role, as well as the willingness and ability to succeed as part of a team.
