A massive meeting point at annual Irish agricultural hot-spot
European Springs & Pressings Ltd a Lesjofors Group company participated in September at one of the biggest agricultural exhibitions in the world. The National Ploughing Championships counted 281,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors in Ratheniska, Stradbally Co Laois, Ireland.
The exhibition according to the National Ploughing Association, is one of the largest in Europe and Worldwide with record attendances and the most successful National Ploughing Championships exhibition since the very first one was held. With almost 300,000 visitors over the 3 days and 1,500 exhibitors the exhibition site and surrounding area were extremely busy with traffic and rail links. Visitors to the Championships spent €36.5 million during the event, and trade purchases were in excess of €9.6 million.
Great interest in Springs, Pressings, Wire Forms and Tynes
European Springs & Pressings Ltd displayed their wide range of springs, pressings, and wire form products generating a huge amount of interest from the farming community and agricultural equipment manufacturers alike. One of the main attractions on the European Springs & Pressings Ltd stand was an assortment of Tynes supplied by S&P Federnwerk in Germany, another Spring Manufacturer within the Lesjöfors Group. Additional to the farming community interests many of the Agri Equipment Manufacturers also had great interest in the many services on offer from European Springs & Pressings Ltd including Gas Struts and a Standard Stock Catalogue
There was a large number of exhibitors displaying their Agri equipment ranging from Cattle Crushes, Tractors to Milking Parlours many of whom have spring requirements and some who are also European Springs & Pressings customers. Many more of these companies are potential customers for European Springs & Pressings Ltd and require spring products ranging from springs to wire forms to bespoke spring products. ESP´s staff were also asked questions about lowering suspension springs for cars mostly from motor factors and younger drivers.
Follow-up on potential customers
Martyn Tyndall from European Springs & Pressings Ltd is satisfied that in the coming weeks and months they can win new business and customers. Initial orders have already been placed with further RFQ’s in the system. Many 100’s of new contacts have been made and a large number of potential customers who wanted contact and more information about ESP´s and the Lesjöfors Group´s wide spring range.
