Collaboration is key for success at Elmia Subcontractor
Once again, Lesjöfors can sum up four fruitful days filled with inspirational conversations and enquiries at the Elmia Subcontractor show in Jönköping. Nine of the Nordic Lesjöfors companies gathered in a joint operation and the spring discussions were countless in the stand.
Despite warnings of difficult times ahead, the Lesjöfors stand was extremely busy at Elmia Subcontractor, the Swedish manufacturing industry's annual meeting place. There was a constant buzz from early morning to closing every day and the Lesjöfors staff was happy to help. Henrik Berner, technical sales at Lesjöfors Industrifjädrar in Herljunga and coordinator for the exhibiting Lesjöfors companies comments on the outcome:
“It might sound like a cliché, but all our expectations were more than filled when it comes to visitors and interesting leads in our stand! We were all prepared for a slowdown, but it turned out to be the opposite; the interest for our products and services was greater than ever before.”
Wide range of products
The visitors could experience a wide range of springs in the Lesjöfors stand, including gas springs, compression springs, tension springs, wire forms and pressings. The new product group conveyor belts that the group´s Dutch subsidiary Tribelt provides also attracted a lot of attention.
“The fact that we join forces and gather skilled staff from all our business areas in our stand is highly appreciated by our visitors since they can get answers on their questions immediately and a personal contact that will follow up any enquiries”, says Henrik Berner.
Many advantages with a one-stop shop
One example of a successful meeting was when the Finnish Lesjöfors Springs Oy introduced one of their Finnish customers to Lesjöfors Industrifjädrar in Nordmarkshyttan, Sweden, with immediate discussions of a possible long-term collaboration. Many visitors also signed up for Lesjöfors’ popular newsletter always filled with the latest news from the spring business. The Lesjöfors crew could also spot a rising trend of customers wanting only one supplier of all their spring products.
“To consolidate all spring purchases to one supplier makes operations and contacts easier for the customer, which is much appreciated”, says Henrik Berner.
Correct answer in the competition
The competition in the stand, where the participants could win an innovative bicycle airbag from Hövding, was popular. The winner was Tim Hjertberg from 3M Svenska AB. The right number of stampings and pressings in the jar was 3 906.
