Lesjöfors breaks new ground with torsion springs in Australia
The Lesjöfors Group continues to extend its geographical presence. Our wide product range has now reached a whole new continent – Australia. ASI Springs, Australia's premium stock spring specialists, has decided to take on a range of Lesjöfors´ torsion springs in stainless steel for distribution on the Australian market.
Extensive stock springs program
ASI Springs made contact with the Lesjöfors company John While Springs in Singapore in 2017 because of a request for a bespoke spring solution. Lesjöfors then took the opportunity to introduce their extensive standard springprogram, which resulted in ASI Springs purchasing articles from Lesjöfors´ stock spring range for distribution on the Australian market.

Focus on torsion springs
When asked about Lesjöfors Russell Mollison’s comments:
“I am very happy with all the dealings I have had with Lesjöfors, while most of my contact has been with John While Springs Singapore, I have also been in contact with staff in Sweden. At all times Roy Loh from Singapore and the Swedish staff have been most helpful. We intend to eventually stock the entire Lesjöfors range of Torsion Springs, and may also include some of their more specialized stock springs, like Conical Springs and Vibrator Springs in our offering to the Australian market. Lesjöfors have manufacturing capabilities well beyond our local manufacturers and we intend to make use of them in the future”.
ASI Springs is an Australian spring supplier, based in the Warragul/Drouin area 90 km east of Melbourne shipping springs nationally and with some international customers. ASI Springs started their operation in 2007 after purchasing the entire stock of about 1,050 different extension and compression springs from John While Springs. Russell Mollison, the owner and MD was previously a sales representative for John While in Australia, and bought the stock when John While closed down in the country. In 2016, Lesjöfors acquired John While Springs in Singapore.
