Lesjöfors China - 2nd fastest growing company

Spring supplier Lesjöfors´ business in China is a real success story. In 2011, Lesjöfors was the 2nd fastest growing company in the district of Xingqiao. The company has therefore been awarded by the local government. 

In total, there are about 5 000 companies in Xingqiao, which is part of the new district of Changzhou. Every year the local government awards the fastest growing companies in the region. The prize ceremony was held in beginning of February and most leaders of the companies in the area attended.

Rapid increase in demand
In 2011, Lesjöfors doubled the sales volume compared to 2010 and was hereby the region´s second fastest growing company. The growth comes primarily from an increased demand from the local Chinese market.

Prize money for staff activities
The award that Lesjöfors was given consisted of a wall plaque, a mentioning in a book distributed to all local companies and a sum of RMB 10 000 (Euro 1 200).
“We are very pleased about our progress in China and the award is recognition of our successful business model. The money is a welcome contribution to our activity fund, which is designated for employee activities like travels, gatherings or sport sessions”, says Mikael Andersson, Business Area Manager for Lesjöfors China.

 Visitors and staff will be able to see the wall plate in the company lobby next to the certificates of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

 Steadily growing business
During 2012 additional growth is expected in China thanks to growth in existing business areas and incoming business from Lesjöfors´ European sister companies.  This is a strategy to enhance close customer relations both in Europe and in the steadily growing Chinese market.
