Lesjöfors grows further in Europe and the Automotive Division prospers
The growth and market development for Lesjöfors in Europe continues. Two strategically important acquisitions were made this year in Germany and Slovakia. We are also very pleased with our success in the automotive segment.
During the first six months of 2013 we have already welcomed colleagues from two new spring manufacturing companies to the Lesjöfors Group, S & P Federnwerk in Germany and Centrum B in Slovakia. They both complement Lesjöfors´ assortment of springs and pressings in an excellent way, and provides a good foundation for further expansion of our market share in Europe.
Boom in the aftermarket for cars
We are experiencing a powerful upturn in our Automotive Division that produces products to the automotive aftermarket. The demand for springs has never been greater and our challenge is to have enough capacity to produce the required volumes. We are now reaping the rewards of a long-term work built on customer service and where we carefully listen to what the market demands. Our Automotive staff is doing everything possible to ensure a high service level to all customers. Ahead, we will invest further to increase our production capacity.
Stable growth in general despite the tough times
Within the industry segment we experience a continued weakening demand and we can undoubtedly say that we remain in a recession. Despite this, our Nordic companies are coping well thanks to intensified activities in sales and customer care. In Latvia we have increased our expertise further and we continue our investments to expand our manufacturing capacity. In England, the situation is also stable despite a generally weak market. In Germany, we see a positive trend in our sales company with increasing volumes. We can therefor continue to invest in further improvements that enhance our offering.
All together, we are a very strong group of companies within springs and pressings that show significantly better development than our competitors.
Small scale operations combined with a global network
The positive development is of course thanks to all our fantastic employees, who every day finds solutions to problems and ensure that our customers always are given priority. Delegation and responsibility are guiding principles and I am convinced that they play a major role in our success! Thanks to small scale operations in our factories combined with a global network of factories, staff and expertise, we create the foundation for the Lesjöfors Group´s success.
