New hi-tech investments give new automotive business in Slovakia

Since May 2013, the Slovakian spring producer Centrum B  is part of the Lesjöfors Group. New investments have already been made that expands the company´s business further. 

In the beginning of 2013, the Slovakian Lesjöfors company Centrum B received large orders from the automotive industry of advanced torsion springs and wire form parts. The companies are major players on the European automotive market with very high standards to live up to.  

New machinery expands capacity

Centrum B is for many years experienced in the production of the specific springs, but the existing staff and technological capacity wasn´t enough to handle the increase in demand. When the Lesjöfors Group accquired Centrum B in May 2013, decisions were rapidly made on large investments in new machinery. Two new machines with CNC technology are now already in full production and three more machines are soon to come. The factory has also employed four new operators to be able to cover three shifts.

„Thanks to our new investments by our financially strong owner, the Lesjöfors Group, we now have a more flexible manufacturing process and greater capacity with the latest technology. An increase in demand is no longer a problem for us“, says Ján Mačuha, General Manager for Centrum B.

Qualified spring partner

Centrum B´s customers are located in several countries where Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia are main markets. Centrum B strategically complements Lesjöfors as a qualified spring producer in an attractive cost position. Centrum B's main production area includes wire springs and wire forms.
