Productive hotspot for the food industry

Anuga FoodTec in Cologne is the most important source of impetus for the international food and beverage industry. As the world's most important supplier fair, it covers all aspects of food production and after two years of pandemic, the hotspot was back in business the last week of April. Lesjöfors’ experts of metal conveyor belts for the food industry were there.

The Dutch Lesjöfors company Tribelt that specializes in the manufacture of metal conveyor belts for the food industry, participated with a stand at the fair. We asked Henri Veldhuis, MD of Tribelt a couple of questions about the outcome from Anuga.

What was your purpose of attending the Anuga FoodTec fair?

It is an excellent meeting place for the industry and we want to improve our brand awareness in this market.

What products did Tribelt display in the stand?

The visitors in our stand could meet our total range of conveyor metal belts we produce in-house that are adapted to businesses in this particular market.

Did you get many visitors in your stand?

Yes, we did. We noticed that the total number of visitors at the fair was less than in 2018 when the Anuga FoodTec was held last time. Nevertheless, we had many fruitful conversations and met many existing and new contacts who showed interest in our solutions. We also received several RFQ’s (Request for Quation).

Do you attend exhibitions like this frequently?

Food processing business throughout Europe is our most important business. Based on that we have chosen to participate in Anuga FoodTec (every 3rd year) and in IBA (every 3rd year as well, October ’23 to be the next edition). Those are among the biggest exhibitions in this market and in this region.

Was it purposeful in other respects than new business?

When you participate in an exhibition and meet OEM’s, end-users, colleagues and competitors, you get a sense about the sentiment in the market and also how businesses are developing. This is valuable information as it can help determining your path to the future.
