Mandatum receives Future Workplaces Certification for the third time
Press release 1 February 2024 at 10.00 a.m. EET
Mandatum has again earned the Future Workplaces Certification based on Siqni’s employee survey. The survey measures how factors deemed meaningful by employees are fulfilled in the workplace.
Siqni’s Future Workplaces Certification is granted to companies where corporate cultures are led with an exceptionally high level of employee insight. Mandatum was one of ten organisations in Finland with over 500 employees that earned the certification this year.
Investing in an excellent employee experience has been one of Mandatum’s strategic goals for over a decade and employee satisfaction has remained at a high level for a long time. In 2020 and 2021, Mandatum was chosen as Finland’s best workplace in the Great Place to Work Institute’s survey in the large organisations’ category. Mandatum also earned the Future Workplaces Certification in 2022 and 2023.
The Siqni employee survey assesses what a company’s employees consider to be the most meaningful aspects of their work and the extent to which they are fulfilled. The survey also measures the employees’ Employer Net Promoter Score (eNPS), which determines their readiness to recommend their company to others. Mandatum’s eNPS was 58 on a scale of -100–100, while the average score of large companies who received the Future Workplaces Certification was 47.
“For us, the Future Workplaces Certification is a research-based testament to our efforts to manage our personnel with a high level of understanding. Going forward, we want to continue to be an employer that enables the fulfillment of matters that are significant to our employees. Mandatum’s Human Resources strategy is based on the belief that by taking care of our personnel, we can also improve customer satisfaction and thus the chances of our company’s success”, Mandatum’s CEO Petri Niemisvirta comments.
Mandatum’s employees feel that, of the aspects that they consider to be the most significant based on the survey, the following were realized best in the workplace:
- Skilled colleagues
- Strong team spirit in the workplace
- A fair and capable supervisor
- A balance between work and free time
- The freedom to work regardless of time and place
Mandatum’s employees responded to the survey at the beginning of December 2023. The response rate was 89 percent.
