Michelin appoints Martyn Pointer as Commercial Director of Agriculture for UK, Ireland and Nordics

Stoke-on-Trent, January 12, 2017Martyn Pointer, 51, has been appointed Commercial Director of Agriculture at Michelin, with responsibility for the UK, Ireland and the Nordics. He replaces Mike Lawton, who has taken on the position of Head of Communications, after five years in the role. With a background in engineering, Pointer spent more than five years as Head of Regional Business Development at Lex Autolease, before becoming Field Sales Director at Trafficmaster in 2004. He then spent three years as Head of Corporate Sales at Leasedrive, prior to joining tyre specialist ATS Euromaster

MICHELIN XEOBIBS LAST 7,000 HOURS FOR ABERDEENSHIRE CONTRACTOR

Stoke-on-Trent – July 15, 2015Aberdeenshire-based agricultural contractor and farmer D M Carnegie is selling on an eight-year-old tractor fitted with its original Michelin tyres which remarkably, after 7,000 hours of operation, still have 20 per cent life left in the tread. Stoke-on-Trent – January 30, 2015A Dorset-based agricultural contractor has replaced its Michelin CargoXBib tyres like-for-like after achieving exceptional wear from the fitments over a five year period. Bernard Cox Ltd, which undertakes a number of arable and grassland contracts for customers in the Dorchester area, specified the CargoXBib 560/60 R 22.5s as original equipment on a fleet of new trailers after the company had heard good things about the product. The tyres are only now being replaced as the tread has worn sufficiently due to the intensive work they have undertaken.

Stoke-on-Trent – April 5, 2013A Market Harborough-based agricultural contractor has become the first in the country to fit four Michelin AxioBib IF 900/60 R42 tyres to a single machine - its Claas Xerion 5000.
