NCC is leasing 738 square meters of space in the Koggen 2 office property in Västra Hamnen in Malmö to Victoria Park, which will relocate its head office there, thus becoming the fifth company in Sweden’s first BREEAM Excellent office building.

“We have been looking for flexible premises that are easy to adapt to the way our company develops over time. Since we also want our company to contribute to a sustainable environment, Koggen 2 will be ideal for us,” says Peter Strand, President of Victoria Park AB.

The flexibility offered by Koggen 2 is found in the open, adaptable floor plans, which facilitate communication both internally and externally. By selecting modern, flexible and centrally located offices, Victoria Park is making a strategic decision for the future.

“We are proud that such a well-reputed industry colleague as Victoria Park has decided to relocate to an NCC building. Here, they will have the opportunity to perform well in the future,” says Marcus Sandahl, Sales Manager of NCC Property Development Sweden.

The company is to lease 738 square meters and will move into Level 4 in August 2014. Victoria Park is a listed property company, with a focus on residential properties.

The Koggen 2 property, comprising 8,100 square meters of space on six stories, was sold in 2012 to Vasakronan. The premises are included in “Future Office by NCC,” a Nordic concept aimed at creating attractive and sustainable workplaces for customers. Koggen 2 is ready for occupancy and the building already houses Beijer Electronics, EFG Kontorsmöbler, Diversify Öresund and Bravura Sverige.

Koggen 2 has been BREEAM certified at the Excellent Level, the highest official classification for an office building in the Nordic region. Through careful selection of the structural system and the climate shell, Koggen 2 has an exceptional design and energy consumption that is as low as 34 kWh per square meter, nearly 50% of the requirements stipulated in the building regulations of the Swedish Board of Housing, Building and Planning. The building also has a green roof with a special selection of plants to increase bio-diversity.
