NCC sells logistics project in Gothenburg for SEK 188 million
NCC Property Development has sold a logistics project at the Port of Gothenburg for SEK 188 million. The purchaser, Hemfosa, will take possession when the project has been completed, which is expected to be in the first quarter of 2012, at which time the sale will also have a positive impact on earnings.
The project consists of a total 20,000 square meters of floor space, of which offices account for 725 square meters and stores and a terminal for the remainder. The property is currently leased to RPG Logistics AB. Construction is expected to commence in January 2011 and the project is scheduled for completion by spring 2012.
The property will be optimized logistically with direct access to the Port of Gothenburg’s container and RoRo terminals, as well as a double track railway line, including one track on the inside of the terminal building. This ensures the ultimate in logistics efficiency.
The project has been developed in partnership with Göteborgs Hamn AB. NCC owns another 200,000 square meters of developable land in the area, which will be developed into attractive warehouse premises over the next few years.
The property will be certified under the BREEAM accreditation system and achieve the “very good” rating. It will also be GreenBuilding -certified, which means that the energy consumption will be 25 percent less that the norm recommended by the National Swedish Board of Housing, Building and Planning.
