Nilar International’s Board of Directors is very pleased to announce today’s appointment of Erik Oldmark as permanent President and CEO. Erik Oldmark joined Nilar as interim CEO on September 1, 2021.

Most recently Erik Oldmark held the position as CEO of Metria AB, where he worked from 2016 to 2020. Erik has long industrial experience from different positions in Sweden and internationally, among others from Ericsson and Relacom. He holds an MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.

Before Erik’s appointment as interim CEO in late August, the Board of Directors had engaged an executive search firm to evaluate various alternative CEO candidates. This search has been concluded; the Board is confident that Erik is the best choice to lead the company on its continued growth path.

” We are very pleased that Erik has now agreed to join Nilar as permanent CEO”, comments Nilar’s Chairman Michael Obermayer.” He has a strong background, including broad international operational and commercial experience and has proven transformational leadership. Erik will strongly contribute to the company’s journey towards further commercialization and profitable growth.

Erik Oldmark says,” I have now met many of Nilar’s customers. Nilar has a unique product offering to capitalize on the strongly growing market for Electrical Energy Storage and is currently one of a few European fully integrated producers of advanced batteries. The global need for battery storage in residences, offices and factories is rapidly increasing. I am pleased that the Board has chosen me as CEO, and I look very much forward to lead Nilar on its continued growth journey. I am confident that my experience from previous positions, together with Nilar’s team, will result in the company’s further rapid development.”

About Nilar

Nilar is a Sweden-based developer and manufacturer of stationary energy storage systems, so-called Electrical Energy Storage (ESS) systems. Energy storage systems can be used to bridge imbalances between energy production and demand to, for example, improve the utilization of intermittent electricity production from renewable energy sources, such as solar energy and wind power, as well as to strengthen the increasingly strained power grids. Nilar's battery technology is based on nickel-metal-hydride (NiMH) electrochemistry with a water-based electrolyte, which results in a strong environmental and safety profile together with a competitive price over a life cycle. The Company is headquartered in Täby and the highly energy-efficient production facility is, since 2012, located in Gävle, where the Company's research and development also takes place.

The Nilar share is listed at Nasdaq First North Premier Growth Market, ticker NILAR. FNCA Sweden is Certified Adviser +46 8 528 00 399. For more information go to www.nilar.com.
