    Selection process for the Nobel Prize 2014 has begun

    263 scientists have been nominated for the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Among them, 46 individuals were nominated for the first time. The deadline for nominations for the 2014 Nobel Prize was January 31. The Nobel Committee will evaluate the nominations during spring and summer.     The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet has been informed by an American news agency that a lawsuit has been filed against us by a person in Los Angeles. We have not yet received any such lawsuit and have not, therefore, been able to assess it in detail. The name of the plaintiff has never been put forward to us previously.
