Fast forward to the new year

Advent, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day: Toward the end of the year, dates become particularly significant. When it comes to wristwatches, it’s the time to pay more attention to the design and appearance of the date function. Moreover: Just in time to begin the new year, we have a watch that features a date in Roman numerals.

GLASHÜTTE, 2022/23 HOLIDAY SEASON. Now with a date in Roman numerals: Ludwig neomatik 41 date is the latest model presented by the Glashütte workshop shortly before the new year. With about half a turn of the crown for each day, the date can be set forward to New Year’s Day in a flash, if you so desire. Or even backwards, to yesterday.

The special thing about date displays from NOMOS Glashütte is the clever design, which has made entirely new date appearances possible. Not only as a three-day window (Autobahn) or a display, which even has room for the Roman XXVIII (Ludwig), but also as a date ring, which is only available from NOMOS Glashütte (Tangente Update, Metro Update).

NOMOS date solutions turn the wearer into a watch connoisseur; they allude to the watchmaking expertise behind the dial. Thanks to the patented mechanism, a NOMOS watch remains elegantly flat despite being automatic, and even with a date display. Moreover, the typography of the date, which is individually tailored to each NOMOS model, ensures that the watch always has a harmonious appearance–whether it's the first of the month (a narrow 1) or the (wider) 31. This is exceptional, even in the world of fine watchmaking.
