    Nurminen Logistics is the first in Europe to transport temperature-controlled foods by freight train to China

    The company's temperature-controlled rail transportations and the unique reefer containers will open new possibilities for food exports and imports in Finland and Northern Europe. "Earlier, it hasn't been possible to transport temperature-controlled products by railway. But now, our new reefer containers that are suitable for the train will change the situation. Reliable and fast temperature-controlled rail transportations to China will take only 11-14 days", states interim CEO Olli Pohjanvirta.     Nurminen Logistics Develops China Cargo Train Services

    Nurminen Logistics' regular cargo train connection between Helsinki, Finland, and Hefei, China is running and being developed. The company has published the schedules from both cities for the first year-half of 2020. Nurminen Logistics keeps the option open to expand the capacity of cargo train service.The actions to prevent COVID-19 from spreading, that begun in February in China and have now reached Europe, have had a larger impact on the flight and maritime freight and especially on passenger traffic than they have had on rail freight.     Reefer containers are now part of our service menu! The temperature in the containers can be set to remain at point from -25 to 25 degrees Celcius.
