OP opens a dedicated telephone line for those in need of special support and their family members
OP helps and supports those in need of special support, and their immediate family members support them, by providing them with a separate telephone line. The new line – 010 252 9627 – is open Monday–Friday from 9am to 4pm. The aim is to ensure that those in need of special support can take care of their banking services easily in the prevailing unusual situation.
Those in need of special support include people aged over 70, people with intellectual disabilities, as well as people under legal guardianship, who don’t use OP eServices or have a payment card. The immediate family members supporting persons belonging to these group can call the new telephone line on behalf of them.
The line provides guidance on daily payment issues in Finnish, and it will be available until further notice.
Calls from landline and Finnish mobile providers cost €0.0835 per call + €0.167 per minute (VAT included). Other private customers of OP should continue using the service number 0100 0500.
Benefit and pension payments next week may cause crowding in branches
Most pensions and benefits paid by Kela will be paid week commencing 30 March 2020. OP asks its customers to note that branches usually get very crowded on these payment days. OP recommends customers to avoid visiting branches and instead make cash withdrawals at ATMs or store checkouts.
For some customers, it is necessary to visit a branch to use banking services. In branches providing teller services, the number of customers in waiting areas is restricted to 10 persons. Some of OP branches provide specific service times for customers in need of special support. More information is available from local OP cooperative banks.
