OXE MARINE IMPLEMENTS BIODIESEL IN ALL TESTING, REDUCING NET CO2 EMISSIONS BY UP TO 94% COMPARED TO GASOLINE ALTERNATIVES
Following OXE Marine AB (publ)’s recently published sea trials where the company’s 300 hp diesel outboard OXE300 was tested against a gasoline outboard of equivalent power, where OXE Marine showed not only a 50% higher consumption in the gasoline outboard but a reduction of 92% net CO\2 \emissions compared to the gasoline alternative, the outboard manufacturers have decided to implement HVO100 in all development and testing.
As a step in the engineering process, OXE Marine performs extensive testing of their diesel outboards OXE200 and OXE300. Due to the efficient diesel powerhead, OXE
OXE Marine AB (publ) have conducted sea trials where the company’s 300 hp diesel outboard OXE300 has been tried against a gasoline outboard of equivalent power. The tests, conducted on a popular 12-meter tender, shows that the gasoline alternative consumes 50 percent more fuel. When the outboards were run using biodiesel (HVO100) carbon dioxide emissions were reduced by an astonishing 92% compared to the gasoline alternative.
The tests were conducted start of October in the waters outside of Öresund. The boat, built by one of the bigger recreational boat builders in Sweden, had been
