Peab has been commissioned to build a residential care facility in Södertälje, south of Stockholm. The customer is Hemsö Fastigheter and the contract is worth SEK 145 million.

Peab will build a senior residence in Södertälje which will be about 5,800 m2 with a total of 72 apartments.

The layout is designed with short distances and good room connections. The building will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad Silver and leased by Telge Fastigheter AB.

“For us at Peab it is important to build for everybody in our community. We are manifesting this through building homes for Södertälje’s older residents together with Hemsö,” says Lars Enroth, Region Manager Peab.

“There is a great need for senior residences in Södertälje which is why we are very pleased to be able to offer this new construction in Hovsjö. We look forward to good collaboration with Peab in this project,” says Åsa Nordell Holmstrand, project developer at Hemsö.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will start in September 2020 and occupation is planned for the latter part of 2021.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter 2020.
