Peab has been commissioned to build the K-Citymarket supermarket in Oulu. The customer is Kesko Oyj and the contract is worth EUR 20 million, which corresponds to SEK 212 million.

The K-Citymarket building will be built in the new Ritaportti business and office area in the Ritaharju district of northern Oulu. The new K-Citymarket will have a gross area of 26,000 m2 and the building will be 12,000 m2 with both retail and warehouse space.

"We’re proud to be able to carry out this project which is important to both us and Kesko. This is a significant project for Peab's unit in Northern Finland and will also provide work for a large number of local construction actors," says Sakari Takkinen, Unit Manager Peab Finland.

Work will begin in March 2026 and is expected to be completed in October 2027.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2026.
