Peab builds an extension to Jula’s warehouse in Skara
Peab has been commissioned to build a 27,500 m2 extension to the chain store Jula’s central warehouse in Skara. The customer is Jula Logistics AB and the contract is worth SEK 114 million.
Jula is expanding its warehousing operations in Skara and Peab will build the extension under a turnkey contract.
“We are very happy to have received this commission and believe in Skara as a growth area. Jula is a significant actor in Skara and it’s a pleasure to be able to further develop Skaraborg with them,” says Stellan Haraldsson, Region Manager Peab.
Jula’s central warehouse is already northern Europe’s largest at 150,000 m2 and it will now grow with another 27,000 m2.
“Happily, there has been a great deal of interest shown for building the extension to our central warehouse. We are also happy that Peab will be taking it on since they are familiar with us and our situation,” says Lennart Karlsson, CEO Jula Logistics.
Construction will begin in the first quarter 2020 and it is expected to be completed in the beginning of 2021.
The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2020.
