Peab builds apartments and health care center in Linköping
Peab has been commissioned to build 176 apartments, a health care center and other premises in Linköping. The customer is AB Stångåstaden and the contract is worth SEK 346 million.
The apartments, a health care center and premises will be built on the property Jägarsoldaten 1 in the new city borough Djurgården in Linköping. Peab will build five adjoining buildings with two to fourteen stories. The health care center and eight premises from 52 to 2,400 m2 will be on the ground floor. The remaining floors will hold 176 apartments from one to four rooms and a kitchen.
The facade will be made of plaster, traditional brick and slate. Two of the buildings will have roof terraces. The goal is for the buildings to be certified according to Miljöbyggnad, level Silver.
Peab and AB Stångåstaden signed a contract in the spring for Phase 1 that comprised participating in planning and preparing the property for production. Now a contract for Phase 2 has been signed as well.

If no one dares invest in hard times we risk finding ourselves with an even greater housing shortage when the economy improves. The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will start in October 2023 and is expected to be completed at the end of 2026/beginning of 2027.
The project will be order registered in the third quarter 2023.
