Peab builds apartments for rent in Karlstad
Peab has been commissioned to build 132 apartments for rent and about 900 m2 in space for rent in the center of Karlstad. The customer is Karlstads Bostads AB and the contract is worth SEK 231 million.
The building Vänersnipan in Karlstad comprises new production of 132 one to four bedroom apartments for rent. The ground floor of the building will also contain about 900 m2 in space for rent. The entire building will encompass around 12,300 m2.
The project will be built in an expanding part of central Karlstad between Kanikenäs embankment and Packhus Avenue - close to the water, the city center and the central train station.
“We are happy that we are once again working together with Karlstads Bostads AB. Peab has already done a lot of work transforming the area for quite some time including building several residential projects, the office building Skeppet and pre-school Lotsen. Recently we completed a new parking garage nearby. So naturally it feels really good to continue developing Karlstad,” says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.
The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. Construction is planned to start in June 2020 and is expected to be completely finished in the last quarter of 2022.
The project will be order registered in the second quarter 2020.
