Peab builds apartments in Ålesund
Peab has been commissioned to build the third and final stage in the apartment project Fri Sikt in Ålesund. A total of 46 apartments will be built and the contract is worth NOK 120 million. The customer is Fri Sikt Volsdalsberga.
The third stage Peab is building of Fri Sikt is a 14 story high rise with 46 apartments. There are 17 different kinds of apartments - everything from two to five rooms between 53 and 231 m2. All the apartments will have a view of the fjord. When the building is finished in 2023 a completely new city borough will have been created in Volsdalsberga in Ålesund, next to Color Line Stadium.
“This 14 floor high rise will be visible from everywhere in the city. Everything in the project is top notch and we will be doing most of the work with our own resources. We really look forward to getting started on this prestigious building,” says Kjetil Nordang, Region Manager Peab.
Peab has been the general contractor in every construction stage of the project, and will also be that in this final project. Construction will start in the spring of 2021 and the apartments will be ready for occupation in 2023.
The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2021.
