Peab builds apartments in Malmö
Peab has been commissioned to build 256 small-sized apartments in central Malmö. The customer is Trianon and the contract is worth SEK 257 million.
The project Marsipanfabriken comprises 256 small-sized apartments - suited for instance for youths - as well as three other premises. On average the living area of the apartments will be around 35 m2. The building will be built according to Miljöbyggnad level Silver with district heating to keep energy costs down.
“Building smaller apartments suited for young people feels important and special. Peab’s strength in a project like this is the work done early on, in other words setting goals together with our customer at an early stage, which facilitates producing the best solutions. Marsipanfabriken is a good example of this,” says Olle Olsson, Region Manager Peab.
The project is a turnkey contract. After tearing down existing buildings on the property construction will begin in September 2020 and occupation is planned for April 2023.
The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2019.
