Peab has been commissioned to build 288 apartments for rent in the project Hökälla Säteri in Lillhagen on Hisingen in Gothenburg. The customer is Tornet Bostadsproduktion AB and the contract is worth SEK 402 million.

Peab will build 288 new apartments for rent on the old hospital grounds Lillhagsparken for Tornet. The project, which is named for the mansion that was on the grounds until 1933, is located on the southeast part of the park right next to the woods. Two brick low-rises, four tower blocks and a subterranean garage will be built there.

“We look forward to building more apartments together with Tornet and thereby contribute to broadening the range of apartments for rent in Gothenburg. We are also happy that we can be part of bringing Lillhagsparken back to life and both preserve and develop the existing environment,” says Liselott Bergkvist, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. Construction is planned to start in the autumn of 2020 and occupation is planned for the winter of 2022.

“It’s good to be able to continue our development of Lillhagsparken and particularly positive that we can do it in the form of our smart low energy buildings where we both use directly and store solar energy,” says Göran Wendel, CEO of Tornet.

The project will be order registered in the third quarter 2020.
