Peab has been commissioned to build new barracks in Visby on Gotland. The customer is the Swedish Fortifications Agency and the contract is worth SEK 207 million.

The approximately 6,500 m2 barracks building will be built within the Tofta Garrison and contain dormitories, changing rooms, classrooms, storage rooms and spaces for relaxation. The building is being constructed to meet the Swedish Armed Forces' need for a place to train recruits.

"We’re happy and proud to contribute to the development of Tofta Garrison. We look forward to building the barracks and creating an environment that promotes both education and relaxation for members of the Armed Forces," says Anders Bergeling, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a traditional contract. Work will start in January 2025 and is expected to be completed in May 2026.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2025.
