Peab has been commissioned to build homes in Tampere. The customer is Y-Säätiön M2-Kodit and the contract is worth over EUR 11 million.

The project entails building a five story high-rise with a total of 93 apartments, a courtyard and community space that includes a place for remote work in the city borough Hervantajärvi in Tampere.

The building will have an energy class A rating and its carbon footprint will also be reduced by solar panels on the roof, among other things.

“In Finland Peab began calculating the carbon footprint in our own projects two years ago and guarantee our buildings will have an energy class A rating. We’re therefore particularly pleased to realize this modern project that takes the environment into consideration,” says Matti Joensuu, Region Manager Peab.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction starts in January 2022 and the project is expected to be completed in June 2023.

The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2022.
