Peab builds jail in Helsingborg
Peab has been commissioned to build a jail in Berga in Helsingborg. The customer is Specialfastigheter Sverige AB and the contract is worth SEK 243 million.
The building will be located next to the existing jail at Berga in Helsingborg. The new jail will hold 46 cells along with a 4,000 m2 changing room building. At the same time 3,000 m2 of an administration building will be rebuilt and the perimeter protection expanded.
“We’re proud to be able to contribute with our expertise and pleased to once again work together with Specialfastigheter,” says Olle Olsson, Region Manager Peab.
The project is a traditional and turnkey contract in partnering. Construction started in February 2022 and the project is expected to be completed by March 2024.
The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2022.
