Peab builds military restaurant on Gotland

Peab has been commissioned to build a restaurant at the P 18 regiment  on Tofta, Gotland. The customer is the Swedish Fortifications Agency and the contract is worth SEK 126 million.

The restaurant includes a commercial kitchen, mess hall, canteen and staff facilities. The contract also includes exterior landscaping and electrical work connected to the building. The military restaurant will be built to meet the needs of onsite operations.

“We're pleased to be able to continue our collaboration with the Swedish Fortifications Agency which places a large, significant  orders for the Swedish Armed Forces' expansion on Gotland,” says Anders Bergeling, Region Manager Peab.

“The military restaurant is another important step in our long-term work to provide the Swedish Armed Forces with suitable premises on Gotland,” says Per Falkgren, Project Manager at the Swedish Fortifications Agency.

“The Gotland Regiment is growing and the military restaurant will play a central role in the unit's continued development,” says the Commander of the Gotland Regiment, Colonel Dan Rasmussen.

The project is a turnkey contract. Construction will begin in July 2024and the building is expected to be completed by November 2025.

The project is order registered in the third quarter 2024.
