Peab builds new elementary school in Norrköping

Peab has been commissioned to build a new elementary school in the city district Sandbyhov in Norrköping. The customer is Hemsö Fastighets AB and the contract is worth SEK 207 million.

The project entails building a new school building with crafts and music rooms as well as rebuilding and extending two nursing home buildings into school buildings containing classrooms and cafeterias.

The project will be certified according to Miljöbyggnad, Silver level.

Norrköping Municipality has great need for educational locations since the considerable increase in the number of students in the last few years has led to a sizable shortage of school premises.

Construction will start at the end of May/beginning of June and is expected to be completed in June 2019.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter of 2018.
