Peab builds new nursing home in Vårgårda
Peab has been commissioned to build a new nursing home in Vårgårda. The customer is Vårgårda Municipality and the contract is worth SEK 268 million.
Vårgårda municipality currently has two nursing homes. The need for places increases as the municipality grows and the number of people over the age of 80 increases. Peab has therefore been commissioned to build a new nursing home adjacent to Kullingshemmet, one of the existing homes. The new accommodation will include 100 new apartments and common areas.

Some parts of the current Kullingshemmet will be demolished to make room for the new nursing home. The apartments have been designed to promote health and well-being, with a focus on the privacy of the residents and their ability to fend for themselves. The new home will be built in two phases and the entire project will be built according to the Swan.

The project is a turnkey contract in partnership. Work will begin immediately and the project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2029.
The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2025.
