Peab builds new swimming pool facility in Årjäng
Peab has been commissioned to build a new swimming pool facility in Årjäng. The customer is Årjäng Municipality and the contract is worth SEK 155 million.
The 1,500 m2 swimming pool facility will consist of a 25 meter pool with six swimming lanes, a trampoline and a multi-pool with a height adjustable bottom. There will also be a relax area with a Jacuzzi and sauna, a children’s section with a children’s pool as well as a gym, a group exercise room and a wellness area connected to the swimming pool facility.
“We’re already building homes and a preschool in the Årjäng area and are happy for the opportunity to continue developing the community together with the municipality. Peab has a group of experts specialized in swimming pool facility construction, which is obviously a strength in this project,” says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.
The project is a turnkey contract. Construction is planned to start in the fall of 2021 and is expected to be completed in 2024.
The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2021.
