Peab builds railways and bridges in Motala

Peab has been contracted to build 5 km double-track railway in and outside Motala. The customer is Swedish Transport Administration and the contract amounts to SEK 477 million.

The contract also includes construction of a pedestrian tunnel and a platform at the rail yard in Motala, 10 bridges, whereof one over Gota Canal, which will be openable and another bridge that will pass Motala Ström. Terracing, and so-called BEST jobs, ie jobs of track, electricity, signal and telecommunication, is also part of the mission.
Work will begin immediately and is scheduled for completion in autumn 2012.
