Peab builds school in Munka Ljungby

Peab has been commissioned to build an elementary school in Munka Ljungby. The customer is AB Ängelholmslokaler and the contract is worth SEK 161 million.

The new school will be a K-6 primary school and will be built in the eastern part of Munka Ljungby, north of the existing soccer fields and Munkahallen. The total area amounts to approximately 7,300 m2 on two stories. The building will be built according to Miljöbyggnad Silver.

"We’re very happy to start up yet another school project on behalf of Ängelholm Municipality. It’s a wonderful addition for students and teachers in Munka Ljungby,” says Sten Christiansson, Chairman of the Board of Ängelholmslokaler.

The project is a turnkey contract. Planning will begin immediately and the school is expected to be completed in May 2026.

The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2024.
