Peab builds swimming pool facility in Malung
Peab has been commissioned to build a new swimming pool facility in Malung. The customer is Malung-Sälen Municipality and the contract is worth SEK 216 million.
Peab will build the new 5,400 m2 swimming pool facility in central Malung. It will contain a 25 meter pool with eight swimming lanes, a multi-pool with a height adjustable bottom, a children’s section as well as a relaxation area with a hot pool, ice swimming hole and a sauna for rent. The entrance to the swimming pool facility will have a cafeteria that also serves people in the swimming area.
“We’re very proud to have received this commission. Swimming pool facility construction is both interesting and demanding but we know we’re well equipped to deliver one in close collaboration with our customer to the residents of Malung,” says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.
The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. Construction will start in August 2022 and the facility is expected to be completed in June 2024.
The project will be order registered in the third quarter 2022.
