Peab has been commissioned to build the new Viksta School in Kil. The customer is Kil Municipality and the contract is worth SEK 154 million.

The new Viksta School in Kil, north of Karlstad, will have room for 525 students, from pre-school to the sixth grade.

The project comprises the construction of a new, modern elementary school with flexible and appropriate premises that will replace the old Viksta School. The contract also includes tearing down the existing school and creating a new outdoors environment that will entice students to play freely.

The project will begin immediately and will be completed before the autumn term of 2022

“Peab has long experience and are experts at building schools since we have built so many in Värmland. We are proud that Kil has put its faith in us to build the new Viksta School,” says Nils Staffansson, Region Manager Peab.

The project will be order registered in the third quarter of 2019.
