Peab builds the Oceanhamn Swimming Pool in Helsingborg
Peab has been commissioned to build a swimming pool facility in Helsingborg. The customer is the City of Helsingborg and the contract is worth SEK 825 million.
The new swimming pool facility will be part of the new city district Oceanhamnen and next door to the sea. It will be directly connected to Oceanhamnen's quayside, between the Oslo Pier and the Ocean Pier. The Oceanhamn Swimming Pool will be an activity and family facility that houses a 50 meter competition pool with stands that hold up to 1,500 spectators, a 25 meter training pool and a multi-purpose pool with a height-adjustable bottom suited to swimming lessons, rehabilitation, baby swimming and wellness activities. The facility will have a total gross area of 18,500 m2.

The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. Work will start in the autumn of 2026 and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2030.
This construction contract was preceded by a so-called phase 1 contract where Peab was contracted to work with the customer to find an optimized product with the right quality and to manage risks and opportunities. The project is now entering phase 2 after signing a construction contract that entails production.
The project will be order registered in business area Construction in the second quarter 2026.
