Peab builds the terminal at Scandinavian Mountains Airport in Sälen
Peab has been commissioned to build the new airport terminal in Sälen along with the accompanying garage and infrastructure. The customer is Scandinavian Mountains Airport AB and the contract is worth SEK 232 million.
The terminal, which will be around 6,000 m2, will contain four gates and handle both domestic and foreign flights. The garage of around 3,000 m2 will contain a fire station, workshop, washing facilities and space for the maintenance vehicles necessary for running a modern airport.
Peab will also build the infrastructure accompanying the terminal like parking spaces and a connecting road to the Swedish Transport Administration’s new route for highway 1053. The project also includes building a seven kilometer water and wastewater pipe from Tandådalen to the new airport.
The project is a turnkey contract and construction has already begun. It is expected to be completed in August 2019.
The project will be order registered in the second quarter of 2018.
