Peab company builds frame for rental apartment buildings in Upplands Väsby

Smidmek AB, a company in the Peab Group, has been commissioned to deliver and mount frames for two new apartment blocks with 160 rental apartments in Upplands Väsby. The customer is the public housing company Väsbyhem AB and the contract is worth SEK 101 million.

Smidmek, which delivers prefabricated concrete and steel frames all over Sweden, will further grow with another key deal in eastern Sweden. In the new project Smidmek shares the contract with housing company Väsbyhem. In total Smidmek will deliver 6,000 m2 double wall, 14,000 m2 flat slab and 9,500 m2 facade to the project.

Smidmek’s commission is a frame contract. Mounting will begin in April 2023 and completion is planned for May 2024.

The project will be order registered in the second quarter 2022.
