Peab expands the E4 south of Sundsvall

Peab has been contracted to implement the expansion of E4 South Myre-Skönsmons at Sundsvall. The customer is Transport Authority and the contract amounts to SEK 1.1 billion.

The project includes the construction of 17 km road, of which 14.5 km of motorways, interchanges at Myre, Njurunda and Stockvik, 28 bridges, and diversion of 1 km of railway on the East Coast line at a new intersection of the E4.

The project is a turnkey contract with the functional requirements and future operational maintenance commitment. Work will begin in April 2011 and is scheduled for completion in October 2015.

The project was notified during the first quarter 2011.
