Peab expands the net of roads in Göteborg
Peab has been commissioned in collaboration with the Swedish Transport Administration to prepare for the rebuilding of the national and regional road net in northern, eastern and southern Greater Gothenburg. The customer is the Transport Administration and the total contract is worth about SEK 250 million.
The work consists mainly of the construction of bus lanes, adding lanes, highway stops, interchanges and trimming steps. The project is within the western Swedish infrastructure package. Work will commence in the first quarter of 2011 and is scheduled for completion in December 2012.
Peab will also perform earth moving and other preparations for the introduction of congestion charging in Gothenburg. The client is the Transport Administration and the contract amounts to SEK 70 million.
