Peab expands water and wastewater net in Borlänge
Peab has been commissioned to continue to expand the municipal water and wastewater net in Borlänge Municipality. The customer is Borlänge Energi and the contract is worth SEK 126 million.
The municipal water and wastewater net has been under expansion in Lennheden for a while and now it’s time for the next stage encompassing Pusselbo, Repbäcken, Båtsta, Strandarna and Färjenäs in Borlänge Municipality. The contract entails building a new water and wastewater facility and comprises, among other things, gravity-flow pipes, pressurized pipes, pipelines in protective tubing, underwater pipelines, groundwork and foundation laying for pump stations, wells, vents and even electricity, a fiber network and lighting. The pipeline system will be around 20 kilometers with connections to 220 properties.
“I’m pleased that we have a collaboration with Borlänge Energi which will continue with a further expansion of the water and wastewater net in the municipality. With our local presence we are very knowledgeable about, and sensitive to, the surroundings and the purpose of this project is to protect the watershed in Lennheden,” says Jörgen Eriksson, Region Manager at Peab.
The project is a traditional contract. Construction will start in March 2024 and is expected to be completed in December 2025.
The project will be order registered in the first quarter 2024.
