Peab gets transport tasks of LKAB
Peab’s subsidiary Cliffton has been contracted to provide for the loading, transport and reception of raw ore and waste rock in Svappavaara. Client is LKAB and the contract amounts to SEK 150 million.
Demand for iron ore products is very much out on the world market. LKAB has decided to commence the mining of iron ore (magnetite) deposit from Gruvberget in Svappavaara.
Cliff's mission includes managing about 14 million tonnes of ore / waste rock. The agreement covers the period from May 2010 to September 2013.
