Peab rebuilds apartments in Helsingborg
Peab has been commissioned to rebuild 112 apartments for rent from the 1950s in southeast Helsingborg. The customer is AB Helsingborgshem and the contract is worth SEK 101 million.
The apartment buildings were built in 1955 and designed by brothers Erik and Henry Andersson from the then leading Arkitektfirman Arton in Helsingborg. The project consists of two buildings totaling around 6,000 m2 which will undergo an extensive renovation outside and inside. The renovation includes replacing roofs, windows and ventilation systems as well as putting in new pipes. All this will be done while the apartments remain occupied.

The fact that Helsingborgshem has commissioned us to renovate older apartments is important for both environmental and conservation aspects. The project is a turnkey contract in partnering. Construction will start in November 2020 and the project is expected to be completed in September 2022.
The project will be order registered in the fourth quarter 2020.
